Retinal scan

Optical coherence tomography (OCT)

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) allows us to obtain a high-resolution image of the different layers that make up the retina and its structures (retina, macula and optic nerve). From these images we can detect different lesions such as small cysts, drusen, macular degeneration or lesions of the optic nerve.

The test consists of staring at a light – although we can blink – and a high-resolution scanner takes multiple images of the areas of the retina that interest us with great precision. This allows us to offer a very precise diagnosis of the state of our retina.
