Treatments to recover facial beauty can be divided mainly into two groups: surgical treatments and aesthetic treatments. Both are intended to improve the appearance of our face. The main difference between them is the technique used to achieve the effects. Surgical treatments require going through the operating room because tissue is removed. On the other hand, aesthetic treatments can be performed in consultation and are based on the application of products with different compositions to improve facial appearance.
In Clínica Oftalmológica Castanera we have the best specialists in each field. Our surgeons are experts in performing surgical treatments that restore a more youthful appearance to the face. In addition, we have great professionals trained in the most innovative and effective techniques and with the best equipment to perform any aesthetic treatment.
SURGICAL TREATMENTS:
Any surgical intervention aimed at eliminating certain facial elements, which involves the physical removal of tissues and which must be performed in the operating room, will fall within this group. We speak, for example, of blepharoplasty or removal of eyelid bags, ptosis, removal of cysts and warts…
Patients who undergo this type of treatment seek a quick and effective solution to their problem. Let’s see some of them:
- Blepharoplasty: It is one of the most common interventions. Around the eyelids, bags of skin and fat are generated that, in addition to being unsightly, can make vision difficult. The only way to remove this tissue is through an outpatient surgery that lasts about an hour and after which the patient can go home. In a matter of weeks, the tissue recovers, giving the face a much younger appearance.
- Ptosis: Due to a motor problem in one of the muscles that allow the upper eyelid to open, it droops more than the other. The only way to solve it is by reinforcing the muscle that recovers the correct opening of the eyelid to once again have a symmetrical opening.
- Removal of cysts and warts: Small fat cysts and warts, which are nothing more than excess skin, around the eyes are very unsightly. Removing them is very easy and fast.
- Ectropion and entropion: This is a poor positioning of the lower eyelid. In the case of entropion the eyelid tends to rotate inwards. This causes the eyelashes to rub against the cornea and can injure it. In the case of ectropion, the opposite happens, the eyelid rotates outwards causing redness of the eye and constant tearing. The solution is to reposition the eyelid through a simple surgery.
- Cantoplasty: This is the modification of the edge of the eyelid for functional or aesthetic reasons. With this, it is possible to give the eye greater roundness.
BEAUTY TREATMENTS AT MEDICAL OFFICE
They are those treatments that are carried out through the application of products and/or substances that allow a more rejuvenated appearance to be returned to the face. There are different treatments, each specific to treat a specific problem. They can also be combined with each other for faster and more effective results.
- Botox: A toxin, called botulinum toxin, is infiltrated to inhibit muscle movement around the eyes. This has an immediate and lasting tightening effect for at least 4 months.
- Hyaluronic acid: It is a gelatinous substance that is found naturally in the body. It infiltrates directly into wrinkles to fill them in and make them disappear.
- Carboxytherapy: It consists of the infiltration of carbon dioxide at the subcutaneous level to favor the natural production of collagen and elastin. With this we manage to eliminate dark circles and eyelid bags.
- Vitamins: These are cocktails with different compositions depending on the effect we want to achieve: depigmentation, toning, rejuvenation… They are injected directly into the area to be treated.
- Plasma mesotherapy: By extracting the patient’s own blood, a plasma is obtained which, injected into the small wrinkles around the eyes, returns the lost firmness to the skin. As it is a substance obtained from the patient’s own blood, absorption is immediate and a possible rejection or allergic reaction is avoided.
- Skinbooster: We call this the combination of vitamins and mesotherapy, but in this case it is a mesotherapy performed with hyaluronic acid. A much faster and longer-lasting firming and anti-flaccidity effect is achieved.
- Global eyecon: It is a specific treatment to correct defects in the orbital area, that is, around the eyes, such as bags, dark circles, wrinkles… The application of masks is combined with microneedling to obtain remarkable results from the first session.
- Cosmelan: This is a specific product for the treatment and removal of blemishes on the skin. It does not need infiltration, it is administered directly on the skin.
- Tras3x: Another depigmenting treatment to treat spots on the skin. In this case, it uses the powerful tranexamic acid for a comprehensive and multidimensional action. It is also applied directly to the skin without the need to be injected.
